CLAY Contributors
Isabel Marin '12, President, is a Junior Humanities major at Yale College. She lives in Trumbull and has enjoyed a whole host of activities while at Yale: singing at Battell Chapel, debating with the Federalist Party, cheerleading, writing for the YDN, and of course, CLAY! She originally hails from Washington, DC.

David Ortega is CLAY’s current secretary, a Junior and a Saybrugian. For the most part, he tries to have a positive attitude and enjoys the sunshine, which he tries to take advantage of when he is home down in Mesa, AZ. David enjoys life in general and sharing moments with family and friends. He has worked at special recreation camps for several summers, and has had way too much fun. Although his major is still listed as undeclared, his current interests include: languages, biomedical science, and history. In his spare time he often watches The Simpsons, reads Spanish literature, or does jumping jacks at unusual places. The photo here features a younger David at an age of twenty months old as indicated by the presence of hair.

Jackson Heights, a small but diverse neighborhood of New York City's borough of Queens. He is a humanities major and enjoys spending his time reading history and philosophy, especially of the ancient world and Middle Ages. He has a passionate love for flamenco guitar, and although in recent years he has fallen out of practice, he still loves the unique Spanish art form for its life and its mix of Middle-Eastern, European, and Jewish influences. Concerning CLAY and its role on campus, he believes that "Truth needs to be sought, found and expressed within the “economy” of charity, but charity in its turn needs to be understood, confirmed and practised in the light of truth." (Pope Benedict XVI, Caritas in Veritate)
